This Mother’s Day weekend, Mommy Mundo honors the art and heart of motherhood.
Happening on May 10 and 11, 2025 (Saturday and Sunday), Expo Mom: The Momentous Fair by
Mommy Mundo is a two-day celebration filled with creativity, meaningful moments, and
community —taking place across both the Grand Atrium and East Wing Atrium of Shangri-La
Plaza Mall.
Now on its 17th year, Expo Mom has become the go-to destination for moms looking to enjoy,
learn, unwind, and discover in a space that truly understands what it means to be a mom.
Hands-On, Heart-Filled Activities

A mother’s love is both an art and a touch. Every thoughtful gesture, every act of care—these
are the brushstrokes that shape our homes and the lives mothers nurture.
The Momentous Fair has lined up a curated mix of mom-approved activities for a Mother’s Day
weekend to remember. On the agenda– relaxation, creative expression, and self-care. Whether
she’s making something beautiful or simply taking a moment to breathe, it’s all about giving
mom the time and space she deserves.
Highlights of The Momentous Fair are corners designed to bring joy without the pressure. At
LOVE CRAFTS, moms can join wire flower making and calming playdough sessions made better
when experienced with kids!

STROKES AND RHYTHM offer storytelling sessions by mom authors, where they will also be
onhand to sign books, and also kid performers to provide music and words, a memorable
experience for kids and parents alike.
At the TOUCH OF AFFECTION Hand Massage Corner with I Do Nails,, moms can take a quick
break and enjoy a gentle hand massage using soothing oils or lotion—an act of self-care to
recharge in the middle of a busy day.
Meanwhile, the STOP AND SMELL THE LOVE Aromatherapy Station, in partnership with Young
Living Philippines, gives moms a chance to create their own personalized essential oil blends or
sprays. The scents—lavender, eucalyptus, citrus—are all meant to uplift, calm, and restore.
Art, Flowers, and Stories

Make this Mother’s Day the most memorable yet with a portrait photo at the HER LOVE, A
MASTERPIECE PHOTO STATION curated by Incy Rooms.
Then, drop by the flower arrangement activity by Laso by Kai, to complete Mother’s Day with
your very own floral bouquet—a reminder that self-love and beauty can bloom in everyday life.
Last but not least, take your time browsing through the photos and stories of inspiring moms at
MOMentous : Portraits and Profiles, a visual exhibit featuring portraits of 10 remarkable moms
captured by Stanley Ong. Each profile tells a story of mothers whose purpose, strength, love,
and presence—what motherhood really looks like.
Shop, Learn, and Celebrate

The two-day program includes a thoughtful mix of talks, activities, and learning sessions. Be
prepared for inspiring conversations with moms from different walks of life, sharing insights on
motherhood and wellness.
Then take your time to browse through one of the highlights of Expo Mom, the Mom Market.
After all, what’s Mother’s Day without a little shopping?
Enjoy well-loved mompreneur brands, baby essentials, and family finds. It’s the perfect spot to
support mom-led businesses while treating yourself and your loved ones.
MOMents of Motherhood

This month of May, we celebrate the MOMentous that is in all of us moms by featuring 10 remarkable moms who are celebrating milestones in their lives, purpose-led impact in their work, and beautiful, everyday MOMents of motherhood. Portraits are captured by the great Stanley Ong

Saab Magalona- Bacarro
The first in our MOMentous series is Saab Magalona-Bacarro, a creator, advocate, and devoted mom of 3, whose work bridges creativity, care, and community.
Known for her music, podcasting, and storytelling, Saab shares real moments from motherhood, mental health, and marriage through platforms like performing as one-seventh of the indie rock duo Cheats and one-half of the podcast Wake Up with Jim & Saab.
Her late ADHD diagnosis became a turning point—one that led her to start the Chaos Control Club, offering support and belonging to neurodivergent individuals. Inspired by her kids Pancho (nickname Puddy) and Vito, who both love music, she also launched Puddy Rock, a brand that advocates play-based learning.
Saab’s voice carries weight not just because of who she is, but because of what she stands for: honest connection, brave conversations, and showing up fully—even when it’s messy.

Pia Roman- Tayag
A public servant and mom of two who brings heart, strategy, and long-term vision to her work at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. As the Assistant Governor and Chief Sustainability Officer, she leads efforts in innovation, strategy, and sustainability while staying rooted in inclusive values. Her leadership earned BSP’s IFAS the Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award and herself a DevEx “40 Under 40” honor. She holds degrees from UP and Columbia University, and is a Fellow at Tufts University’s Fletcher School for Financial Inclusion.
With over two decades at BSP, Pia has championed financial inclusion and consumer empowerment, both in the Philippines and on the global stage. From 2020 to 2023, she was seconded to the UN as Director of the Office of the UNSGSA, supporting Queen Máxima in her advocacy for inclusive finance. Whether working with local communities or global leaders, Pia remains deeply committed to building systems that work better for more people—grounded in purpose, and always looking forward.

Chesa Zimmer-Santos
Chesa Zimmer-Santos, mom of 2, embraces her newest role as Executive Director of The Monfort Foundation Inc. with heart and clarity. She now leads with a deeper commitment to cultivating systems that are sustainable and life-enhancing.
From launching the Philippines’ first coworking space to pioneering purpose-driven movements like Try Local PH, she has consistently built environments that connect people and catalyze change. Her Estate Management business, SPF 808, indulges guests in experiences through their site Shenanigans while transforming properties into thriving ecosystems that reflect their owners’ vision and values.
Her newest endeavor with MFI reflects her ongoing evolution: designing with nature, fostering community resilience and creating lasting impact through intentional, interconnected systems.
Chesa’s strength lies in weaving collaboration, social innovation, and grounded purpose into every project she touches.
