Kenneth Cobonpue Café, Lounge & Gallery at Grand Hyatt Manila Residences is one of BGC’s most elegant café destinations, uniquely Filipino in character, seamlessly blending culinary arts, visionary furniture design, and artistic expression into an immersive experience. A 3-in-1 concept that includes FABLE Café + Lounge, the KENNETH COBONPUE Showroom, and CLOUDGREY GALLERY, it’s often simply referred to as the Kenneth Cobonpue Café.
Don’t be intimidated by its upscale, artsy vibe—here are some tips to make your date experience here truly memorable:
FABLE Café + Lounge @fablecafelounge

FABLE Café + Lounge, designed by Kenneth Cobonpue, feels like an urban, artsy garden café where nature itself becomes art. Featuring Cobonpue’s signature furniture, it offers a stylish yet cozy space for lounging and an immersive dining experience. Every corner is effortlessly Instagrammable, exuding a whimsical charm that balances creative spontaneity with refined design—an organized chaos of art and craftsmanship.

FABLE is a storybook brought to life, where captivating lighting, thoughtfully crafted dishes, and imaginative cocktails weave a tale of sensory delight.
By day, it’s a specialty café serving Yardstick coffee and an inspiring brunch spot, while by night, it transforms into an elegant bar dining destination, offering a refined yet whimsical experience.

This was the perfect spot to meet our friend Janice, now based in Canada, to showcase the latest Filipino café spots in BGC, exchange new business ideas in an inspiring setting, and catch up in a tranquil escape amidst the bustling city.
And yes, you can actually sit on Kenneth’s signature Knit Armchairs, Bruno Side Chairs, and other stunning furniture art pieces, making the experience even more enjoyable.

Lamb Tacos 3 pcs. 550
Lamb, Garlic Yogurt Sauce, Pickled Onions, Tortilla
This dish is like a mini lamb shawarma, served in an elegant taco form with creamy yogurt sauce and tangy pickled onions. It’s a flavorful and satisfying starter, perfect for sharing.

Black Truffle Tortellini 885
Tortellini, Mushrooms, Black Truffle
Each dish is presented like a work of art, and I especially enjoyed the tortellini pasta stuffed with mushrooms and infused with black truffle. Rich, creamy, and perfect for sharing.

Iced Cappuccino 220
The coffee is great, but the selection of cold coffee concoctions is somewhat limited—a bit disappointing, especially with Key Coffee just across the street. A good iced latte would have been perfect for this ambiance.

48-hour Miso Marinated Seabass 2,280
Chilean Seabass, Miso, Dashi, Mushrooms
I didn’t have high expectations for the food, given that they don’t have a hot kitchen since the space was originally designed for the residences. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how they managed to serve exquisite dishes like this Miso Seabass—perfectly cooked with beautifully charred edges and served with asparagus, potatoes, mushrooms, and a delicate dashi.

Deconstructed Cheesecake 350
Soft Cheesecake, Biscoff Soil, Lemon Curd Dill
This dessert was satisfying, with the cheesecake served in creamy rolls. You can mix it with Biscoff bits for added texture and umami, and the lemon curd provides a tangy contrast, balancing the sweetness perfectly.

You’ll feel proud stepping into Kenneth’s showroom, which showcases his iconic chairs, lighting fixtures, and furniture art pieces inspired by Filipino culture and the natural beauty and sensuality of nature.

It’s a dream to explore the second floor, where the bed is featured. Designed to reduce surrounding noise, it offers total comfort, with clouds and stars surrounding you for a serene sleep experience.

Fell in love with The Village Hanging Lamp, the monastery-inspired lighting, the artsy cloud lights, and the romantic lighting fixtures—perfect for adding charm to any home.

The showroom also features smaller pieces that you can shop for as pasalubong or to enjoy at home, proudly owning a Kenneth Cobonpue art piece.
CLOUDGREY GALLERY @cloudgrey.gallery

CLOUDGREY Gallery proudly announces its representation of Ronald Ventura, one of the Philippines’ most celebrated contemporary artists, marking a new chapter in his globally recognized career. This partnership aligns with the gallery’s vision of elevating Southeast Asian art by providing a dynamic platform for boundary-pushing creative expression and cultural exchange. FINAL THOUGHTS

This has quickly become my favorite spot in BGC for meetings in an inspiring setting—proudly Filipino, with every furniture piece serving as both art and a conversation starter. The vibe strikes the perfect balance between casual and posh, while the food is as visually stunning as it is flavorful, perfectly complementing the ambiance. It’s the kind of place where you’d want to dress up and capture beautiful portraits with friends, without worrying about the background.
I do wish they would expand their coffee latte selection. Also, since they don’t have a hot kitchen, most dishes are reheated, which affects the serving temperature—something I hope they improve on.
I’ll definitely be back to explore their brunch menu next time!

Congratulations to the Cebu entrepreneurs behind the dynamic hub concept of FABLE Café + Lounge, the KENNETHCOBONPUE Showroom, and CLOUDGREY GALLERY!
